PerilScore is operated by Peril Score, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). We provide catastrophe property risk scoring services at app.perilscore.com and via integrations including the ChatGPT App.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Property addresses submitted for risk scoring. The address is the core input to our scoring system - it is required to produce location-specific risk data and is retained for analytics purposes. Addresses are not linked to a personal identity unless you create an account.
  • Email address, when you create an account or sign in via magic link.
  • Usage data, including the scores you generate, when you are signed in.
  • Technical data, such as IP address, browser type, and referral source, collected automatically via server logs.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide property catastrophe risk scores and related reports.
  • Authenticate your account and send magic link sign-in emails.
  • Improve the accuracy and performance of our scoring models.
  • Send transactional emails related to your account (no marketing emails without explicit consent).
  • Monitor service health and prevent abuse.

4. ChatGPT App

When you use PerilScore through the ChatGPT App, we process the property address you provide to return location-specific risk scores. The address is the fundamental unit of our scoring system - there is no way to produce risk scores without it, and it is retained for analytics purposes. We do not receive your ChatGPT conversation history. If you click "View Full Report" and visit our platform, our standard account data practices apply.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Service providers that help us operate the platform (e.g., Google Maps for geocoding, Resend for email delivery, Stripe for billing, Heroku for hosting). Each is bound by appropriate data protection agreements.
  • Legal authorities, if required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Score records are retained to provide your report history. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption, database access controls, and passwordless authentication (no stored passwords). We do not store payment card data - all payments are processed by Stripe.
